The article focuses on the efforts of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) in reaching out to Spanish-language broadcasters through its People of Color Media Program. This includes not just reacting to characterizations and stories GLAAD finds offensive but also serving as a resource for the networks. GLAAD will conduct media training with Televisa's news and entertainment divisions and will hold creative content meetings with producers of telenovelas which are the number one genre among Latino television viewers.
