I am currently conducting a research study on transgender male-to-female individuals and the role that gender has on thoughts and feelings and the ability to recover quickly from setbacks. The research study will involve the completion of four instruments designed to measure a person's background, level of gender role, current mental health status, and level of resilience (the ability to recover quickly from setbacks). This study will take approximately 20-25 minutes.
Cesar A. Gonzalez, M.A. and his dissertation chairperson Linda Beckman, Ph.D. will have access to data from this study. All data collected from or about me will be destroyed by Cesar A. Gonzalez within five years of consenting to the study. No identifying information will be collected.
The research study will not directly benefit one individual however, it may benefit the scientific and mental health communities, the latter of which who could provide services to this population.
