Wilkinson and his wife are the first couple that was married in a public ceremony where marriage licence forms are needed to be changed. According to Park that same-sex marriage is the most controversial issue in the state and there are all sorts of sentiments in the community. Wilkinson thinks that people are not talking more what is happening within the transgender community while Park believes the huge irony in marriage which in some ways is a very conservative institution set off to struggle for legal equality with radical potential.
