I am a final term Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) student at De Montfort University in the UK, working on a dissertation on voice health and speech therapy issues for Male-to-Female SLT clients and those who have not had therapy. The research focus is on satisfaction with voice, experience of Speech and Language therapy, and whether it has been helpful both in producing a desired voice and speaking style, and in helping to protect the health of the voice.

Hello,

I am a post-op secondary transsexual lesbian. I have been training my voice by singing along with female vocalist on the radio when driving my truck. I gauge my success with telephone solicitors: without telling my name or identifying as female I engage in conversation; if they say Ma'am then I am on target, however, if they say Sir then its back to the radio again. I have been following this therapy now since 2002 and I am getting much better at it now.
