This article profiles gay television executive Marc Juris. Hired as general manager of Court TV in 2004, Juris has since delivered style, hot new programing and the highest ratings in the cable networks history. The Bronx, New York City-born Juris previously worked his rebranding magic at Fuse and American Movie Classics (AMC), where he developed LGBT programming such as Out of the Closet, Off the Screen: The Life of William Haines, a documentary by AMC about one of the first openly gay actors in Hollywood. The push for LGBT content by Juris has continued at Court TV.
