Abstract:

The author provides an overview of the recent issue of "The Journal of Gay & Lesbian Social Services." The issue is the starts of the second volume of the journal, addressing issues on cancer services for lesbians, homophobia among mental health professionals, transgender youth, help-seeking for abuse in same-sex relationships and developing services for gay and lesbian people in Colombia. Also, Dr. Lori Messenger will serve as a new column editor for the journal.
