The Trans-Health Conference Community Days is currently seeking
workshop, panel, and discussion caucus proposals for its 2008 conference.
Community Day programming seeks to provide an educational and interactive
space where all people can come together to learn, discuss and network. Much
of the programming revolves around transgender and queer community topics
but Community Days also seeks to provide education about many aspects of the
Mind, Body, Spirit, Community and Family.

The Trans Health Conference is committed to providing progressive,
innovative, and comprehensive programming. Our 2008 theme is "Honoring Our
Past, Envisioning Our Future." This year we'd like to increase programming
for community members who already have knowledge of the transgender
community. For 2008 we are especially encouraging people to submit
proposals for workshops about the following things:

• Advanced level workshops ( i.e. 201 and above level workshops)
• Aging in the trans community
• Alternative family structures/ways of creating families
• Bridge building between different communities
• Healthy life practices (eating, self-care, etc.)
• Physical fitness activities (yoga, pilates, tai chi, etc.)
• Spirituality
• Topics specifically for People of Color Communities

Community Days workshops are between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 45 minutes
long.

In addition to offering an array of workshops and panel discussions on
various topics, THC is also looking to host a number of meet and greets
this year. Because THC is so large, it is often difficult to meet people who
are like minded and or have similar life experiences. Meet and greets are
not meant to marginalize, but to instead offer a safe, open and friendly
place where people can come together and bond with people who are
experiencing similar things at this point in their lives. If you would like
to propose a specific meet and greet topic, please forward it to
transhealthconference@gmail.com .

Handout materials: THC will provide presenters a maximum 20 double sided B &
W copies. Handouts for CE programs must include a list of the learning
objectives. Items to be copied by THC staff must be received three weeks
prior to the conference. NO HANDOUTS WILL BE COPIED AT THE CONFERENCE.
