I am a doctoral student embarking on (gasp) my dissertation project. Although overwhelming, this project is very near and dear to my heart as I see research with transgender populations as an advocacy rather than a means to and end. Currently I am trying to develop research questions that address the mental health barriers, needs, or experiences of oppression experienced by transgender youth.
