2009 Transgender Femininity Study

You are being invited to participate in a research project designed to study femininity from the perspective of male-to-female transgender individuals. This study is being conducted by a group of researchers affiliated with the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Please consider participation if you:

(1) are 18 years old or older;
(2) identify as a transgender, gender-variant or gender non-conforming person;
(3) were assigned a male sex at birth;
(4) explored or developed a feminine identity in some way (temporary or permanent);
(5) reside in the contiguous United States; and
(6) are able to answer questions in English.

Please note that your participation will be anonymous and that your answers will be kept confidential.

I understand that the investigators are interested in recruiting a diverse group of gender non-conforming individuals from the entire transgender spectrum (e.g., cross-dressers, pre and post operative/transitioning transsexuals, gender queer, etc) and that my participation in this study will involve answering questions about aspects of femininity I find important in developing a feminine identity. I am also aware that I will be asked to answer some questions about personal characteristics such as age, race, ethnicity, and the labels I use to describe myself as a gender variant person. I have been informed that participation in this study involves completing an online survey and that it will take approximately 30-40 minutes of my time.

If you would like to participate, please follow the link to our survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=6s5fmGVMsvKWk6W5BNZ7mw_3d_3d

We thank you for your participation.
